Little Mountin Climbers

Story decided she wanted to go mountain climbing tonight.  Of course, little sister had to join her.

 

She made a huge pile of blankets and pillows.

 I LOVE that they thought to put on their safety gear!  Gotta have those boots and helmets:-)

 On a totally unrelated note--we made blueberry donuts in our mini donut maker this morning.  They were so yummy!  We used this recipe, but we used egg replacer and rice milk.

Two Little Cuties

When I came home from work today these two beauties were out riding their scooters.  It was 6:00 in the evening and they were in night gowns and rubber boots (no it had not rained).  Love it!

Dance Party

We had to move this month.  The people we were renting from decided they wanted to sell the house.  We really did not want to move, but it was inevitable! 

We moved the girls dresser into the living room to get ready for moving day.  Cadence and Story put on an improptu dance party:-)

Little Miss Teacher

Story is so patient with Cadence.  Today they played on PBS together.

Little Cookers

Cadence and Story decided they wanted to help cool tonight.  We were making this recipe.

Cadence decided she wanted to use the little chopper for the onions.

Story wanted to do it the old fashioned way.  Until she saw how fast our way was:-)  As soon as she was  done with the onion she went and washed her hands with toothpaste.  Grammy told her it helps with the smell.

Story cooks all the time with Daddy, so she is getting pretty good.

Cadence worked on this can for a good three minutes before asking for help!

Our food actually turned out pretty good.  At least Devon and I thought so.  Story tried it, Lyric pretended to try it and Cadence took one look and didn't even bother sitting down at the table.

Cadence and Story Skype

Last night Story was on Skype with Daddy.  He had to leave the room for something and Cadence walked in.  Her conversation with Story was so cute!
Cadence: Hi, Story.
Story:Hello.
Cadence: I love you, Story.
Cadence: Are you not hooked to your polee? (She couldn't see the IV pole)
Story: I am.
Cadence: Are you ready to come home, Story?
Story: Well, Cadence, I am ready to come home, but the doctors aren't ready for me to come home yet.
Cadence: Story, can you help me send you a picture? (They recently learned how to chat on Skype.)
Story: tried to explain what she needed to click on to send a picture.
Daddy came into the room to help.
Cadence sent Story two clocks.
They all chatted a little and then Cadence sent two more pictures to Story.
Cadence: Story I sent you two cupcakes. (They were actually two mugs of beer.)
Cadence then showed Story the ornaments that she painted.  One of them was Rudolph the Snowman.

Sister Love

Cadence and Story yelled for me to bring the camera today.  I went in the bathroom and this is what I found:

I don't know what made Cadence decide to climb on Story's lap while she was on the potty, but it sure made a cute picture!

Being Normal

There was a time when these two cuties coloring in the floor would have been an ordinary activity.  But lately even something this simple can make you stop and be thankful!  

 I was shocked they were willing to pose for me!

 I even had time to take two pictures.

 Back to business.

Is it Cancer?

The other day Cadence had her baby doll in the bed. Story and I walked into the room and she told us her baby was sick.

Story walked up and said, "Does she have leukemia Cadence? Is it cancer?"

I couldn't help but laugh! What happened to it just being a cold or a tummy ache?

I am happy to report that the baby did not have cancer. She just had a macaroni sickness, apparently her Mommy cooked some macaroni that was bad.

Sleeping Beauties

These two slept late this morning and I just had to get a picture because they looked so peaceful laying there together!

Bathroom Talk

I was sitting in the dining room and I could hear Story and Cadence chatting while Story was going potty.

Story: Cadence poop is dirty. It is the food coming out.

Cadence: I eat it?

Story: (laughing) No Cadence you can't eat it. The food goes into your stomach, then your intestines and out as poop. Does that make sense?

I couldn't hear Cadence's answer, but I sure hope Story got her point across! I don't want my next post being about Cadence trying to eat her poop:)

So Sweet!

Story and I were eating ice cream and watching a movie she checked out from the library today. Cadence walked up, "What you eating?"

Story and I both said, "Ice Cream."

Cadence said, "I want some."

I started to ask if she wanted to share with me or if she wanted her own when Story interrupted by putting the spoon in Cadence's mouth, "I'll feed her."

She fed Cadence for a few minutes until Cadence decided she wanted her own.

So sweet!
