Halloween Play

We can't go into a store with out checking out the Halloween isles.
The girls love trying on masks!
Lyric is going to be The Man With the Yellow Hat (from Curious George).  We've been looking online for hat tutorials, but she came up with the brilliant idea of modifying a witch hat. I think its going to work great.

Coda was excited to find Captain Hook accessories.

We're going to Boo at the Zoo next weekend, so we've got to get the costumes done soon.  We're going to have The Man with the Yellow Hat, Curious George, Katniss from Hunger Games and a Mug of Hot Chocolate.

Getting Ready for Halloween

Today we went to The Haunted Museum at the state museum downtown.  They had crafts, ghost stories and goodies for the kids.  After the museum, we went over to the Farmer's Market to pick up some pumpkins.

Lyric didn't want to carve her pumpkin, but Daddy, Story and Cadence worked on the others.

Cadence designed her pumpkin and Daddy carved it for her.
I didn't get any pictures of the final products:-(

Halloween 2010

For some reason, I never get good pictures on Halloween.  I forget to take them, I forget the camera, the camera batteries are dead... Well, this year I couldn't find the camera.  I finally found it after Lyric and Cadence we already gone trick or treating.
Story couldn't go trick or treating, but the doctors said she could hand out candy if she wore a mask.  She didn't want to dress up as a ballerina witch with a mask, so she decided to be a surgeon.
She was very excited about giving out candy.
The pictures of Lyric and Cadence were blurry, but you can still see their costumes.
Lyric was a super model and Cadence was a witch again.

When the girls got back from trick or treating we had a Halloween party at home.  We had pumpkin soup, buggers on a stick, eyeballs, swamp punch with a severed hand and cupcakes.  You would think I would have taken pictures, but I didn't think about it:-)

Halloween at the Zoo

Story is going to be on lock down on Halloween, so we decided to go trick or treating at the zoo.  They had lots of fun stuff going on!
Baby Cadence was a witch.

Lyric dressed as a veterinarian.  She kept her costume on for about 12 minutes.  The rest of the night she just wore her gloves.
Story Bell was a ballerina witch.

They LOVED the bouncy house with slide.

Cadence was a little scared to go down, but her sisters were all too happy to help/pull her down.

All of the animals were sleeping except the flamingos.  Cadence was mesmerized by them!

Fun was had by all!

Halloween

I have to start off by saying I didn't get ANY good pictures on Halloween! We spent the weekend at Grammy's and on the 30th we went to the George Bush Museum to Trick or Treat there. We had a cowgirl, Cinderella and a baby. The girls played outside why we waited in the VERY long line to get in the museum.
Cadence had a good time playing in the fountain. She lost her horse and hat just minutes after we arrived!
Cinderella's crown kept her occupied while we waited.
Luckily, the baby had her pacifier.
On Halloween, we took the girls trick or treating. Poor Cadence, slept through it all! Next year, I will have to do better with the camera:-)

Happy Halloween!

We had two Cinderellas and a witch for Halloween this year. As usual my children did not want to pose together for a picture! I may dress them up sometime this week and try to get some better pictures of them.Devon had a gig in Houston on Saturday, so we decided to trick or treat in Bryan with Faith and Finley.
Faith was one of the girls from High School Musical. I don't know the movie, so I don't remember which one.
Finley was decked out in skulls.
We started out the night at a neighborhood festival where the girls played some games. Faith Meadow had her face painted. Lyric wanted her face painted, but she didn't have the patients to wait in line. The girls had a good time trick or treating. Cadence was SO cute! The first house we went to she was carrying a packet of Skittles in one hand and had her bag in the other. The man at the house reached out to give her a bag of M&Ms she held up her Skittles to give to him. I would carry her from house to house and when we would get to the next house she would say, "Go! Go!" and want me to put her down so she could go up to the door with her sisters. She would walk up the drive way dragging her bag behind her. At the end of the night she had three different holes in her bag. I'm surprised she didn't lose any candy! The girls posed in front of some one's house with their decorations. We had a lot of fun and got lots of candy!
