Guitar Lessons

Lyric and Story started guitar lessons today.  This will be Story's second year taking them.  She's in the advanced class.  

Lyric is in the beginner class.  She was not too thrilled about using Story's pink guitar, but wants to make sure she likes it before getting her own.

Texas or Bust

These girls spent two weeks in Texas this summer.  The left June 12th with Mimi J.

Amazingly, they stopped their goofiness long enough for a sweet picture.

Bob sent this one of Story Bell's fancy hairdo.

They had a great time, but said they probably wouldn't be going back next year.  They thought two weeks was a bit long.

Reading Lesson

Lyric gave Story a reading lesson tonight.

Taylor Swift

When we were in Texas I received a call from Make a Wish asking my if we would like two tickets to see Taylor Swift.  They said they had one ticket for the wish child and one for a parent.  I wanted so bad to say yes, but I just couldn't do that to Lyric!  Well, a couple of days later they called me back saying the had three tickets for us if we wanted them.  Um, yes!

So, we left Texas Friday afternoon and arrived in Nashville on Saturday morning.  The concert was Saturday night.

The girls were SO excited!

I took the rest of these with my phone.  Getting ready to go they had to have their jewelry.

Homesick--Contagious?

I just walked by the playroom and heard the girls playing Barbies.  This is what I heard:

Lyric: "Well we will have to see our kids."

Story: "I don't have any kids."

Lyric: "Yes, we all do.  Remember, they all went to college?  But then they all got home sick and had to come home."

Story: "I guess it was contagious."

Lyric just laughed.

Note to self, Story knows what contagious is, but doesn't know anything about being homesick:-)
