Happy Birthday Sweet Story Bell

I have to start this birthday post by remembering last year.  Story celebrated her birthday in the hospital with only two family members allowed in the room at a time.  I am so thankful for where she is now!

 

She wanted to celebrate her birthday at Chuck E Cheese.  We don't do big parties for the girls' birthdays, but she wanted us to take everything for our family party with us to Chuck E Cheese, so that's what we did.

She started her morning off with M&M pancakes.  Why yes, that is the letter 'S' and the number six.

 We loaded up the homemade cupcakes, the girls and the gifts and headed to Chuck E Cheese.

 We had our pizza and sang to the birthday girl.

 What?  M&M's on the cupcakes too!

 Presents!  Do you like our cloth wrapping paper?  I am so cheap crunchy;-)

Happy 6th Birthday Sweet Girl!

Snowflakes!

Snowflakes were on the Advent Calendar today.  We made coffee filter snowflakes for the walls and tortilla snowflakes for our tummies!

 For the tortilla snowflakes you simply fold a tortilla, cut with kitchen scissors,

 brush with olive oil and bake.  We brushed some with cinnamon and sugar before baking and brushed some with powdered sugar after baking.

Yum!

Christmas Tree

Today we went out and purchased our Christmas tree.

 The girls amazingly all agreed on one.  I was surprised they didn't try to convince us to get three:-)

 They may have agreed so quickly because the tree lot happened to be right next door to a place that sells wooden playscapes.  They were anxious to play!

 It took us awhile to figure out where it was going to go in the living room, but once we figured that out we got busy decorating it.

I don't know what is wrong with me lately, but I keep forgetting to take "after" pictures.  It looked good, promise!

Hot Date

 Thanks to Make a Wish Story and Daddy went to The Nutcracker tonight.  Devon said she squirmed around a lot in the first half and he thought she would want to leave during the intermission.  But she didn't, she made it until the end.  They had a great time.

**Notice the bare legs?  We bought tights especially for tonight.  But when it came time to get dressed Story couldn't find them.  She and Devon had to go out and get some on the way to the show.  He called to make sure the tights came with both legs and he didn't need to buy two packages:-)  I was starting to get worried, but luckily someone at Walgreens helped.
