Adventure Time

The girls decided to go on an adventure today.  It was rainy and cold, so they had to bundle up

I love that they let Coda join in!  She thinks she can do anything they can.

Story Time

I took Coda to the toddler Story Time at the library today.  They had a ballet dancer reading Ferdinand the Bull and teaching the kids some ballet.  It was super cute!
They acted like the angry madador

and they did horns to represent the bull.

We took a picnic to the park afterwards.  She brought Little Bob with us.

Fort Building

The girls built a huge fort behind the couches today using the couch cushions, pillows and blankets.

Coda even had her own room!  Lucky girl ;-)

House Full of Sick People

Devon and the girls have all been sick!  The doctor says it's just a virus they are passing around.  They have all been running fever, coughing and just feeling bad.

Poor Sweet Coda has also been cutting four teeth while being sick!  It hasn't been much fun over here lately!  But I am thankful I haven't gotten it!  Hard to be the caretaker and be sick!

Hummingbird Festival

Devon worked late last night, so I took the girls to the nature center this morning.  They were having a hummingbird festival.
We learned so much!  The girls saw a puppet show and made some crafts.
The nature center was catching and tagging the hummingbirds, but the girls weren't too interested in waiting for them to catch one.  We headed over to the nature play area.

While they were playing, I noticed they were tagging a hummingbird back up at the nature center.  I really wanted to go see it close up, but Cadence didn't want to stop playing.  Lyric and Story went to check it out while I stayed with Cadence.
We decided to have our snack near one of the feeders hoping a hummingbird would show up.
It didn't, but the girls did have a good time playing in the big chair.

We had a good time and learned lots about hummingbirds!

Pet Rocks

I recently saw an idea for Pet Rocks on Pinterest.  The girls made them today.
First, they painted and blew them dry.
Then they went through our craft supplies to embellish them.

Cadence's

Story's
Lyric's
Coda enjoyed a nap while the girls worked.

Yummy!

Today the girls and I went over to Bobbie's Dairy dip for ice cream.  It's a cute little drive in ice cream place that has been there for the last 50 years or so.
Lyric and Story look SO old in this picture!

Tasty afternoon treat!

Little Gardners

Today Daddy helped the girls plant their Home Depot pots.
Don't you just love Unschooling?!?  Living and learning in their PJs.
They did this after I went to work, so it was probably around 3 in the afternoon:-)

Random Pictures From My Phone March 25- April 19

These pictures are from the last few weeks on my phone.
The girls and I went to IHOP while we were out shopping for Devon's birthday.  They had never been to IHOP before!?!?  I was shocked!

Grammy sent Subway gift cards for Easter, so we went there for dinner one night.  Yum!

Caba and KK sent new swimsuits for Easter.

 Poor little sick girl.
We sewed reusable wipes for the baby.
The girls were in a posing mood this day!

They LOVE this cat at the midwife's!

They had a great time riding their bikes while we were camping.
Cadence helped with setting up the tent.
We hit up Sonic Happy Hour- three drinks and an ice cream cone for about four bucks- can't beat that!

Story and I did a little sewing.
Cadence and Story were peeling boiled eggs and had to have their aprons:-)
The baby had the hiccups today and I called the girls in to feel.  Lyric felt it first and her eyes lit up, then Story felt it and her eyes lit up.  Cadence didn't feel it, so the girls moved their hands, so she would be the only one on it.  The baby hiccuped about 4 or 5 more times and I kept asking Cadence if she felt it.  She just shook her head no and then asked, "Can we go play now?"  I guess she wasn't too interested in feeling.
