Story Time

I've started taking Coda to the toddler story time at the library.  She really likes it.

Today they played a listening game.  She was so cute lined up with all of the kids.

We usually go to the park afterwards.  Today someone had left some chalk.  She had fun drawing with it.

We played on the "telephone" talking to each other.

She did lots of climbing

and of course, had to swing.

It's not very often that she gets time alone with Mama, so I think this hour or so on Monday mornings is really good for her :-)

Story Time

I took Coda to the toddler Story Time at the library today.  They had a ballet dancer reading Ferdinand the Bull and teaching the kids some ballet.  It was super cute!

They acted like the angry madador

and they did horns to represent the bull.

We took a picnic to the park afterwards.  She brought Little Bob with us.

Cuddle Bugs

I walked into the living room to find this this morning.  Coda had a tight grip on Lyric and wouldn't let go.

Coda ' s New Favorite

Coda loves hummus! It was one of her first foods and she has always loved it. She eats it with a spoon, with her fingers, or dipping veggies. Well, I think she has a new favorite! Story talked Devon into buying a jar of big pickles. Seems that Story isn't the only one to like them!

Little Mommy

Tonight Jenny from The Jamboree offered to watch the kiddos so I could go and watch Devon play.  They had a great time, except Coda was sleepy and didn't want to go to sleep for Jenny.  Lyric rocked her for a couple of hours until we got back.  I think Coda was super tired because we had had a long day at clinic and then she went to Jenny's, so this morning at 4:00 she woke up screaming!  She's has never done this before and I didn't really know what to do.  I tried the boob, rocking, standing, Devon...nothing worked!  It happened to be Lyric's turn to sleep with Coda and I, so she was in the bed with us.  Coda pushed me away and crawled over to Lyric.  I'm not sure why, but all she wanted was her big sister!

Lyric held her until she fell asleep around 5:30.  Such a lucky baby to have big sisters who love her so much!

Side Kick

 Housework is a lot more fun with this little sidekick.

Little Rider

Coda and I went out Christmas shopping today. I wore her in the Ergo most of the time, but she started to get a little fussy at one of our stops so I put her in the basket.

 She loved it!  It made me cringe a little because those things are filthy, but it was pretty cute!

Coda the Drinker

Tonight we gave Coda a sippy cup for the first time.

 She really liked chewing on it!

 Even the handle tasted good:-)

I was working on the laptop while Coda slept next to me.  Out of the blue she propped her foot up on the computer--sweetest thing ever!

Story loves this baby!

 Someone decided to give Coda some toys in the bassinet today:-)

Science Talk

Tonight while we were eating Story asked how Coda is a girl. Like how was she born a girl and not a boy. I said it was in her chromosomes.  You know, genetics.  Like she has blue eyes because it's in her genes. Or she has fat cheeks instead of skinny ones because its in her genes. I said she is a girl because she has... I looked at Devon because I couldn't remember XY or XX...

Lyric said, "A vulva."

Allergic?

Today Cadence told me, "I think Coda's allergic to you because she sneezed after you kissed her!"  I hope you're wrong Cadence!

Cadence Says...

Today I overheard Cadence talking to Coda, "Oh Coda, I would like to dip you in ranch and take a big bite out of you!"

Cadence, I think everyone in the family feels the same way!  Although, I would skip the ranch:-)

Man Hands

This baby has the biggest hands!

Loudest Baby Ever!

Coda is the loudest baby I have ever heard!  She  grunts, groans and moans all the time.  She is even loud when she sleeps.  This video is black because it was dark in the room, but you can hear her.

She may be loud, but she sure is cute!

 

Thumb sucker?

The baby happened to get her finger in her mouth today and she LIKED it!  I wonder if we're going to have a thumb sucker on our hands :-)

And Then There Were Six...

We had a family meeting to vote on the baby's name.  Story made us this sign because Coda was the winner, but Daddy still isn't quite sure.

We added another baby girl to the bunch today.  As of now, she still does not have a name.  Devon has wanted the name Coda for months, but now he isn't sure it fits:-/
