E is for Elmer the Elephant

After Spanish class today we picked up some lunch and headed to the park to meet our play group. We read a book about Elmer the Elephant and colored some elephants. They also had some Es for the kiddos to dot, but the girls weren't in the mood for dotting. They just did their elephants.
Cadence enjoyed playing with my Sonic cup and straw. She helped Story color a little, but she mostly played with the cup. When we finished the craft the kiddos decided to run up this big hill at the park. It was great exercise for them. I need to learn to follow them in these kind of situations, you know, get in some extra calorie burn. I just stayed behind with Cadence and watched.Ms Jill played red light/ green light (or in this case rojo/verde) with the kiddos.

Then they played duck, duck, goose. Which is hilarious with a bunch pf preschoolers! The girls both wanted to play, but when they were picked as goose neither one ran. They just sat there. J, one of the three year olds, was picked as goose and she ran away instead of going around the circle, too cute! After Duck Duck Goose they played a game of Freeze Tag which is also super funny with the preschoolers! At one point Lyric was one of the kiddos who was "it" and she was frozen, I don't know how that happened. They had fun.Miss Cadence didn't play much tag, but she enjoyed chewing on J's shoe. J was not too happy about the baby slobber! Fun day at the park with friends!
