Meriwether Lewis National Park

We went camping at Meriwether Lewis National Park again this weekend.  I didn't take many pictures, but we did the normal camping stuff.  We hiked, made smores and the girls rode their bikes.

Lyric lost a tooth while we were there.  I actually pulled it for her.  This was the first tooth she had ever had pulled.  It was so loose I don't know how it hadn't already fallen out.

The girls took Hallie's taxi to push her around.
 She seemed to enjoy it.
I told Cadence she had some marshmallow on her face.
She tried to lick it off...

she finally gave up and used a napkin.

These two were having way too much fun in the bathroom!
We love this park!

Pioneer Day at the Zoo

The zoo had Pioneer Day today.
We can't make a visit to the zoo without posing with the lions.

The girls made a Thaumatrope.  Do you know what that is?  I didn't either:-)

We tried out the old timey see saw.
Then we tried out some Pioneer games.

They loved this one.  I don't remember what it was called.  It was a wooden hula hoop that you had to roll and keep going with a stick.

They tried their hand at washing with a washboard.  Lyric was thrilled!

Fun afternoon!

Tallest Playscape in the World

Today we decided to go to the tallest playscape in the world.  Devon and the girls have been to this park before, but it was my first time.

Cadence asked me to go down the big slide with her.  I go down the slide at the Science Center with her, so I didn't think much about it and went down this one with her.  Little did I know it was going to be a near death experience!  Cadence and I fell sideways as we were coming down and I couldn't get us back upright, so I basically slid down on top of poor little Cadence!  I had rub burns on each of my hands, my elbow and my knee.  I asked Cadence if she was okay when we reached the bottom.  She said, "I'm okay.  I just hurt my knee, my elbow and I hit my head."
After our near death experience, we headed over to the picnic tables for lunch.  After we ate.  We walked around the pond and fed the ducks some chips.

We then headed back over to the playscape for some more playing.  I DID NOT try the slide again.
 But Lyric did!
Once:-)

Hallie

The girls decided they wanted to get a guinea pig.  We went to the pet store and priced it.  We decided they would need about $100.00 for the guinea pig and supplies.  So, they started filling a spaghetti jar to save.  I started checking Craigslist thinking we might find a cage.  Surprisingly, someone posted a guinea pig and a cage for $35!  The girls had $36 saved up.
I was a little worried about purchasing it from Craigslist, but when I spoke to the seller I felt okay about it.  She was a grandma who purchased it for her grandchildren, but they didn't up being that interested in it.  When we met with her I told her how the girls had been saving their money and had just enough.  She said they could have it for $30, so they would have a little money left to buy her some hay or something.
Tonight I got these cute shots of Cadence.

Story's New Glasses and a Yummy Dessert

Story found a piece of cardboard tonight and decided to make herself some glasses.  Daddy just helped her with the eye holes.  Pretty impressive!
I found this recipe on Pinterest and we just had to try it.  Yum!

New Trail

Last night, we were leaving Wal-Mart and I saw a hiking trail we have never noticed.  We decided to go back today and check it out.  It was a little polluted because of where it was located, but it was really pretty.  There were fallen leaves on the trail and the girls and I collected some to use for a project.
