I have to admit I learned a new word today! I had never heard of dendrochronology before. We went over to J's house today and learned about trees. The kiddos watched a video on the computer and then we went outside to look at a tree stump.
It was freezing out there! The girls said they were ready to go home, but we decided to stick it out.

When we were back inside the kiddos drew tree rings on a paper plate that corresponded with their age. So, Lyric drew four rings and Story Bell drew three (two days before the big bday).
