Cadence was sitting in my lap while I was watching the videos to post on the blog. She watched a video of herself and she saw her teacher. She said, "Not again!" I had no idea what she was talking about. Then she pointed at the screen, "That Lady!" I then realized she was talking about swimming. She LOVES to go under, but when her teacher makes her "swim" aka pushing her under the water to me. She does not like it. Today is the last lesson, it will be interesting to see if she lets that lady make her swim.

Swim Lessons Day 8
The girls went down the water slide today.
(Grammy was not drunk while taking this video, just trying to video and take pictures at the same time:)
Baby Cadence had a great time going under. She also really enjoyed telling me, "You first, you first!" Then she would blow in my face and I would go under.

Election Time
Lyric walked up to me tonight with a piece of paper in her hand, "Hi ma'am, I was wondering if you would like to vote?'
"Sure, I would like to vote. What are my choices?"
"Well, there is going to be a president. You can vote for me, Obama, or John McCain."
"I definitely vote for you!"
If it were only that easy!
Goose, Goose, GOOSE
Tonight we were having a family movie night. Cadence lost interest and started walking around the room touching us all on the head saying, "Goose, Goose, GOOSE!" Of course, our movie night soon changed courses with the girls all running around the room chasing each other. Story tried to teach Cadence the proper way to play, "Cadence, it is Duuuuck, Duuuuuuck, Duuuuuck, GOOSE!"

Swim Lessons Day Three
No storms today. We were able to get our whole swim lesson in.
Lyric practicing with the kick board. Story practicing "Superman" arms.
Baby Cadence about to go under. We blow in her face before dunking her, so she loves to blow in our face. I think she actually enjoys making me go under more than going under herself.
Uncle Billy, Aunt Kendra and the boys came over for supper tonight. We decided to try to get a picture of all of the kiddos on the slide together. It worked out amazingly well! Everybody yell, "Hooray!" Even Baby Wade could do it.Cadence did a little reading to herself when everyone was gone. She has been around Grammy and her reading glasses too much lately. She had the sunglasses on, but was probably having a hard time seeing the book, so she decided to push them up on her head.

Swim Lessons Day 2
Storms rolled in about 10 minutes into our swim lesson today. Since they saw lightening we had to get out of the pool. They stood us all under the trees and gave us a safety lesson. They didn't discuss how dangerous it is to stand under trees in lightening. They mainly discussed water safety:-)
Addison and Cadence enjoyed hanging out during the safety lesson.
The girls posed for Grammy.

Swim Lessons
The girls and I are at Grammy's this week for swim lessons. Today was our first day. The big girls LOVED it and can't wait to go back tomorrow.
Cadence LOVED the water, but she didn't care too much for the teacher trying to tell her what to do. The first song we sang was Wheels On the Bus, which is one of her favorites, so she loved it. But, when it came time to sing I'm a Little Tea Pot it was a whole different story! She didn't like it and didn't want to sing it. She started yelling, "No, tea pot! BUS! No, tea pot! Wheels on Bus!" Luckily, I'm a Little Tea Pot is a pretty short song and we were soon moving onto something else that she liked:-) Overall, she had a good time and can't wait to go back tomorrow as long as the teacher doesn't tell her what to do.

Pictures of the Fridge
There is no real reason for this post. The pictures just cracked me up. Apparently Lyric wanted to take some pictures of our refrigerator. Why? I have no idea.
I LOVE CVS
Okay, I know I have told you before I love shopping at CVS, but I really LOVE shopping at CVS. See, times have been pretty hard around here lately. Devon's work has been pretty slow, so we have had to be pretty tight with our money. That is what is so great about CVS when you shop there they give you ECBs, so it is kind of like shopping with play money. Tonight I went in with $12.00 ECB from last week.
This is what I bought:
Transaction 1: ($12.00 ECB aka play money to spend)
1-Kodak Picture Maker DVD 9.99
2- Speed Stick Deodorants 2.99
1- Johnson and Johnson Shampoo 2.99
1- Johnson and Johnson Lotion 2.99
2-1.50q Speed Stick
2- 1.00q Johnson and Johnson
I used my $12.00 ECB and had to pay 1.18oop. I received $9.99 ECB for the movie and $4.00 ECB for the Speed Stick.
Transaction 2: ($13.99 ECB aka play money to spend)
2- Paper Mate 10ct. pens .99 each
1- Colgate Maxfresh 2.99
2- SoBe Waters 1.59 BOGO
1- Band Aid 60ct 3.29
1- Hello Kitty/ Neosporian Value Pack 6.99
2- .50q Band Aid
1.00q Colgate
BOGOq SoBe
I used my ECBs and she handed me my bag. My total was ZERO! Can you believe that I paid nothing and I got 1.98 ECB for the pens, $5.00 ECB for the band aids and $1.00 ECB for the toothpaste.
So, I have $7.98 in ECB to spend next time. I LOVE shopping with play money!!!!!!! CVS is the best store on the planet!!!!!
Where can you go buy all of that stuff for $1.18?
*Anyone who wants to start CVSing just let me know I would so love to help you out because it is so much fun!

I'm Freaking Hot!
Today we went to visit Ninny, Devon's grandma. We hung out at her house for a while, we took her to run some errands and then we took her to the nursing home to visit Da, Devon's grandpa. While we were driving to the hospital we hear from the backseat, "I'm freaking HOT!" Our sweet Little Story Bell was letting us all know how she was feeling. It was hilarious! Sad to say, but she has heard those exact words come out of her mama's mouth way too often! It's the Texas heat it will do it to you!

Friday Family Fun Night
We headed over to Kaleidoscope Toys for their family fun night. Tonight they had hula dancers. We all really enjoyed it! This was the first night all three girls stayed and watched the entire show. Who would have thought it the dancers beat out the clown and the magician?
At the end of the show the girls got to get up and get their groove on.
Fun night!

Reptile/Amphibian Show
The library had a reptile/amphibian show today. I was REALLY excited about it. At one point during the week Lyric said, "Why do you keep talking about this reptile thing?" We saw snakes, frogs, turtles, and a bearded dragon. There were too many kids to get to touch anything, but it was pretty cool to see it all.

Up to the Sky
I walked into the playroom this afternoon. This is what I saw.
When I asked what she was doing she said she was going up to the sky.

Conversation With Lyric
Lyric: I'm in college you know.
Me: Oh, I didn't know that.
Lyric: Yea, I'm 12.
Me: Oh really, well what is your major?
Lyric: What is a major?
Me: It is what you are studying. You know like what you want to be when you grow up.
Lyric: Oh, my major is a cashier. You know like to work in a grocery store.
So we have ourselves a 12 year old prodigy cashier. I am so proud:-)

What We Did Today
We just hung out at home today, but I thought it would be fun to just post a few of the happenings.
This morning Story and Cadence both decided they were going to help me with the dishes. Story would rinse them and hand them to Cadence and she would put them on the drying rack. It took three times as long, but they wanted to help, how can you say no? I never understand parents who don't let their kiddos help when they are little, but then they don't understand why they won't help when they are older.
In the middle of the dishes Cadence said, "Pee, pee." I looked down and yes she did all in the chair they were standing in.
A little while after we were done with the dishes I was putting some clothes in the washer and I heard Cadence yelling, "Mama, Mama." She was in the playroom I walked in and she looked up at me. I asked, "Are you calling me or a pretend mama? She said, "Pretend." and then went back to her yelling.
This afternoon we were all in the playroom. Story and I were doing a puzzle and Lyric and Cadence were both there playing. Cadence, who was naked, spread her legs and said, "Pee." I said, "No, don't pee." But before I could do anything she just peed! And then she laughed. She pees outside a lot, so she is actually really good at peeing standing up. She thought it was hilarious and so did her sisters.
Tonight while we were eating Lyric started making up knock knock jokes. You know the typical little kid knock knock jokes, either they make no sense or you have heard them 1000 times. She said something about cheese and so I made one up about cheese (it was actually pretty good I thought:), then Daddy told one and then Story, so you know Cadence had to get involved. She knocked on the table. We said, "Who's there?" She said, "Hot dog." We said, "Hot dog who?" She was cracking up laughing, "Hot dog and cheese." It was so cute. The girls kept making up more and then Cadence had another. She knocked on the table. We said, "Who's there?" She said, "Nose." We said, "Nose who?" She said, "Arabella Cox" and then she laughed and laughed!
Good times!

Friday Family Fun Night
We decided to head over to Kaleidoscope Toys for their Family Fun Night. They were having Bonzo Crunch the clown tonight.
The girls only lasted about 10 minutes and decided they would rather play. After the show, Lyric thought they should all pose for a picture. Story wasn't feeling it. I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
After the show we headed over to Half Price for a while. We read a few books and had a good time hanging out.
I am really excited about next Friday. They are having Hawaiian Dancers. Hopefully the girls will be more into that than they were with the clown. If not I guess they can play while I watch:-)
